 The Boiler Safety Bureau today inspects new and existing pressure equipment
installations for business, institutions, industries, assemblies, educational
locations, apartments and other multifamily dwelling locations, recreational
sites, public use, and water supplies. We also inspect pressure equipment in
hotels, motels, camps, cottages and resort lodges. Under the Uniform Boiler and Pressure Vessel Act, businesses are required to
have equipment that falls under the act inspected to meet safety standards. (excerpt from the State of North Carolina's boiler section official web site)
