 The State of Illinois IL Boiler Section oversees all boilers and pressure vessels in the State of Illinois. The Division of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety regulates the construction, installation, operation, inspection and repair of boilers and pressure vessels throughout the state of Illinois. Due to the potential risks and hazards involved with the usage of boilers and pressure vessels, the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety Act was adopted to safeguard the citizens of Illinois.
